The Brand

KHANINYAN is an independent, art-driven brand founded by Anna Khaninyan a visual artist, jewelry designer, and restorer at the Matenadaran, one of the world’s greatest repositories of ancient Armenian manuscripts.

Every day, Anna works alongside manuscripts that are centuries old studying their ornaments, symbols, and layered visual language. This is not a reference or an inspiration board. It is a direct, hands-on relationship with Armenian cultural heritage that shapes everything the brand creates.

KHANINYAN moves between art, fashion, and contemporary culture, creating objects that feel both expressive and timeless. The brand does not follow trends; it builds its own visual language through observation, emotion, and meaning.

The Artistic Core

Art is the starting point of every piece.

Studio work paintings, compositions, and deep research into historical visual codes forms the identity of the brand. These explorations become prints, textures, and silhouettes, allowing art to exist beyond the canvas and the archive.

The Armenian Collection Armenian Collection is the heart of it all. Khachkars, the Arevakhach eternity symbol, the Armenian alphabet that has survived everything reinterpreted through a contemporary, minimalist lens. Not as nostalgia. As a living statement of identity.

KHANINYAN translates ancient visual DNA into objects for modern life: silk scarves, sterling silver pendants, apparel, and wearable art.

Produced in limited quantities, each piece is finished with attention to material, balance, and durability. Not made for a season made to be worn, lived with, and kept.
